Dorset Athletics brings together Dorset County Athletics Association, Team Dorset Athletics Network and Dorset Schools Athletic Association to further the sport of athletics in the county of Dorset by encouraging excellence in training and competition at all levels and for all abilities.

Dorset County Athletics Association (DCAA) aims to promote, organise and host county-wide athletics competitions for individuals within Dorset in track and field, combined events, cross country and other athletics disciplines. It arranges, supports and promotes the attendance of Dorset County teams at regional and national championships.
Team Dorset Athletics Network (TDAN) supports six Dorset athletics clubs (Bournemouth AC, Dorchester AC, Poole AC, Poole Runners, Weymouth St Paul’s Harriers & AC and Wimborne AC) in coach and athlete development, recruitment of volunteers, increasing participation and encouraging inclusive athletics. Four of the six clubs (Dorchester AC, Poole AC, Poole Runners and Wimborne AC) form a composite Team Dorset team which competes in various track and field leagues.
